ITTA BENA, Miss.鈥 91自拍鈥檚 motto is 鈥淟ive for Service鈥, and the university鈥檚 student ambassadors recently had the chance to put those words into motion at a local elementary school.
For the second consecutive year, the group of MVSU student leaders journeyed to Davis Elementary School in Greenwood to serve as guest judges for the school鈥檚 Annual Reading Fair Competition.
ITTA BENA, Miss.鈥 91自拍 will host a seminar featuring University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) Assistant Professor Dr. Lori M. Ward Thursday, Nov. 15.
Ward, whose research focuses on health outcomes and health disparities, will present on the topic, 鈥淔rom Chemistry to Population Health Science.鈥

ITTA BENA, Miss.鈥91自拍 swept all three places of the Wal-Mart coding competition hosted during the 18th Annual Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Leadership Institute and Recruitment Fair Oct. 26-30 in Washington, DC.

ITTA BENA, Miss.鈥 91自拍 students received a reminder of the sacrifices that were made to ensure everyone had the right to vote with a viewing of the documentary 鈥淔annie Lou Hamer: Stand Up.鈥
Hosted Nov. 5 in the Cliff E. Williams Auditorium of the Business Education Building, the event included a free screening, followed by a discussion moderated by MVSU History Professor Dr. Sade Turnipseed.

ITTA BENA, Miss.鈥 Last month, 91自拍 faced-off against Jackson State University and Alcorn State University in the Annual Soul Bowl Blood Drive, a friendly competition to see which university can get the most blood donations over three days.
This year, MVSU has once again come out on top.

ITTA BENA, Miss.鈥 91自拍 President Dr. Jerryl Briggs has announced Dr. Elizabeth Evans as the Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs.
In this role, Evans will serve as the institution鈥檚 chief academic officer, overseeing the Office of Academic Affairs. As a member of the institution鈥檚 Executive and Extended Cabinets, she will also play an integral role in the overall management of the institution.
