Heather McTeer-Toney keynotes Annual Augusta C. White Scholarship Luncheon

ITTA BENA, Miss.— The 91×ÔÅÄ community, alumni and supporters gathered for a good cause during the Annual Augusta C. White Scholarship Luncheon Thursday, Oct. 18.

Formerly the First Lady’s Scholarship Luncheon, the annual event has become a preeminent MVSU Homecoming event, purposed to raise scholarship funds for well deserving, academically sound students who attend MVSU.

The Five Components of Reading presented by Ms. April Smith

Are you ready to enhance your students reading ability? Come and be a part of a workshop designed to give you an in-depth understanding of reading and the five components it entails. This workshop will focus on: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Comprehension. Also, hands-on activities as well as strategies to differentiate instruction for each component will be provided. Come and be part of a fun and exciting learning experience.
