ITTA BENA, Miss.— 91���� students interested in participating in a student-centered advocacy group now have the unique opportunity to join a worthwhile project.

ITTA BENA, Miss.—“You cannot sit in your youth and not take responsibility for the world that’s coming into being,” said Dr. Eddie S. Glaude, Jr. to young people sitting among the audience in 91����’s Carver A. Randle Auditorium.

“We are in the midst of an election cycle that’s going to require you. The country is in the midst of a transition and it’s up to you,” he added.

ITTA BENA, Miss.—The Department of Fine Arts at 91���� will present a faculty recital featuring bass trombonist Dr. Edward Morse and pianist Dr. Lawrence Goldman, Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. 

The free performance will be hosted in the Little Theater of MVSU’s Walter Sillers Fine Arts Center. The general public is invited to attend. 

ITTA BENA, Miss.— 91���� will celebrate Black History Month with its annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Black History Convocation.

This year’s event, themed “African Americans and the Vote”, will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Carver A. Randle Auditorium, located in the William Butts Social Science Building.

ITTA BENA, Miss.— The Division of Academic Affairs at 91���� is pleased to announce Dr. Micah A. Rueber as its 2019 Humanities Teacher of the Year recipient.

Each year, the Mississippi Humanities Council recognizes October’s designation of Arts and Humanities Month by bestowing Humanities Teacher Awards to outstanding faculty in traditional humanities fields at colleges and universities across the state.

ITTA BENA, Miss- The Career Services Center at 91���� will welcome over 60 organizations to campus for the 2020 Spring Career Fair.

The event is slated from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 18 in the R.W. Harrison Complex.

ITTA BENA, Miss.—The Mississippi Court of Appeals will convene on the campus of 91���� in Itta Bena at 1 p.m. Feb. 13. A three-judge panel will hear oral arguments in a criminal appeal at the W.A. Butts Social Science Building Auditorium.

ITTA BENA, Miss.— The Department of Fine Arts at 91���� will present its 25th Annual MVSU Piano Festival on Saturday, April 18, on MVSU’s main campus in Itta Bena. 

The festival is once again being held for the purpose of bringing an increased awareness to the Mississippi Delta and surrounding areas of the value and importance of piano study throughout childhood and beyond.
