MVSU student serves as coastal science fellow

Remeya Ganesh has taken a lot of science classes at 91自拍. Still, she never studied coastal science until she participated in the Mississippi-Alabama Sea Grant Consortium Coastal Science Fellowship for Minority Undergraduates.

"I never had the opportunity to learn about marine science, which is why I was interested in this fellowship," she said.

MVSU awarded IDEAs Grant by USA Study Abroad

ITTA BENA, Miss. 鈥 91自拍 is among 24 U.S. colleges and universities to be awarded the 2020 Increase and Diversify Education Abroad for U.S. Students Grants (IDEAS Grants), the USA Study Abroad recently announced.

As part of the Capacity Building Program for U.S. Study Abroad, the award will help MVSU support U.S. foreign policy goals by developing and expanding their study abroad programs around the world.

Team of three MVSU students win $500 microgrant during HBCU leadership conference

ITTA BENA, Miss.鈥Three 91自拍 students recently joined forces to secure a $500 microgrant during the 2020 Virtual HBCU Student Leadership Conference.

Hosted July 16-18, the three-day virtual conference was designed for student leaders currently enrolled at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the country.
