MVSU Slated to Hold its Annual Black History Convocation, Ty Pinkins to serve as keynote speaker
91自拍 will celebrate Black History Month with its annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Black History Convocation.
The theme for this year鈥檚 event is 鈥淏lack Resistance,鈥 which will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, at the H.G. Carpenter Building in the Walter Roberts Auditorium.
The keynote speaker will be Mississippi Delta native Ty Pinkins, a veteran, lawyer, author, and former Communications Aide to the President of the United States.
MVSU Student Prepares to Study Abroad in Italy

Mitchell Shares 鈥淟ife Lessons鈥 with MVSU Grads during Fall 2022 Commencement

ITTA BENA 鈥 91自拍 graduates received encouraging words on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022, from Anthony 鈥淭ony鈥 Mitchell, who shared with students four life lessons to help correct them for where they are going.
Nearly 130 graduates participated in the Fall 2022 exercises, including Mitchell, who explained to the audience that he never had the opportunity to participate in his commencement exercise.

Wayne Compton is an accomplished young man who, at 22 years old, has overcome severe loss but has persevered to make sure his "can do" is always greater than his "can't do."
When hearing Compton's story, several questions may arise. Questions like; "Can a person suffer from tragedy and triumph simultaneously? How does one ultimately triumph after tragedy? Can tragedy lead to triumph?"
