ITTA BENA, Miss.— Award-winning author Devery S. Anderson will visit the campus of 91���� Wednesday, Feb. 14, for a special presentation and discussion on his book exploring the horrendous 1955 murder of Emmett Till.

Themed, “Researching the Emmett Till Murder:  What lessons can we learn for today?”, the event, hosted in the W.A. Butts Auditorium of MVSU’s Social Sciences Building, will kick-off with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by a lecture from Anderson at 7 p.m.

ITTA BENA, Miss— The 91���� Mock Trial Team recently competed in the third annual “ODY Owl Classic” at Mississippi University for Women in Columbus and had a strong showing.

ITTA BENA, Miss.— From new exercise equipment and free fitness classes to farmer’s markets, healthy food demonstrations and after-school programs—as its name suggests, 91����’s Valley in Motion health initiative has been on the move.

Funded by a $374,155 grant from the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi Foundation, Valley in Motion is a program designed to help increase healthy living outcomes on MVSU’s campus, local schools and surrounding communities.
