ITTA BENA, Miss.— 91����’s National Alumni Association (MVSUNAA) now has new leadership “in motion” following the recent installation of its newly elected officers.

The special ceremony was hosted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, in the Clifton William Business Auditorium.

The new officers received the oath of office by Rev. Johnnie Collins of Itta Bena.

Hosted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, in the concourse level of the Harrison HPER Complex, the career fair is free and open to students, alumni and community members.

Over 45 employers have registered to attend the event. Organizers encourage attendees to dress in professional attire.

ITTA BENA, Miss.— Assistant Professor of Mathematics Dr. Candace Carter-Stevens and senior Math and Computer Science major Henry Akaeze will represent 91���� during the 31st Annual Higher Education Appreciation Day-Working for Academic Excellence (HEADWAE) program, slated for Tuesday, Feb. 20, in Jackson.

ITTA BENA, Miss.— Devery S. Anderson stood before an attentive crowd in 91����’s W. A. Butts Social Science Auditorium Wednesday evening for a nearly one-hour discussion centered around Emmett Till.

MVSU and the Mississippi Humanities Council sponsored Anderson for a lecture to discuss his award-winning 2015 book, “Emmett Till, The Murder that Shocked the World and Propelled the Civil Rights Movement”.
