1.15.18 Winter Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our region with forecasts of light snow Monday night and spreading southeastward during the daytime Tuesday.

Two to three inches of snow is possible across the Delta, which may result in roads becoming snow covered and hazardous for driving. Accumulations on bridges and other elevated roadways may result in slick spots.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for our region that is in effect from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday. 

The advisory is predicting a possible mix of freezing rain, sleet and snow that may cause slippery road condition. While University administration is taking this advisory under consideration, it is still too early to predict if our area will be affected.

MVSU to host Twenty-Third Annual Piano Festival

ITTA BENA, Miss.— 91×ÔÅÄ is inviting piano students of all levels to its campus for a day of recitals, award presentations, and the chance to earn music scholarships during its Twenty-Third Annual MVSU Piano Festival Saturday, April 21.

Organized by the Department of Fine Arts, the festival is designed to bring an increased awareness to the Mississippi Delta and surrounding areas of the value and importance of piano study throughout childhood and beyond. Events will be held for both elementary and advanced piano students.
